On Sunday we will come together with our neighbouring MP’s – Honourable Rob Oliphant and Honourable Marco Mendicino – with special guest Julie Dabrusin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change to discuss environmental issues and the efforts in the recent budget to address the climate crisis by building a green economy.
Budget 2023 had three significant priorities – Affordability, Health and Health Care and Growing a Green Economy.
For years, we have been saying that it is no longer possible to pit good environmental policy against good economic policy – the environment and the economy must go hand in hand. The increasingly severe weather events, the climate anxiety of our younger generations, and the existential threat to communities around the world demand that we take bold action to address climate change and pollution while building a sustainable and greener economy.
